About Matthew Lively

I am also a Analysis Mechanical/Aerospace Engineer and CFD specialist with extensive experience in product design and manufacturing within the aerospace and oil & gas industries. I have earned my Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering focusing on thermal/fluids. Some of my strengths include designing and improving products using classical physics as well as computational simulation analysis.I currently work for Canvas Inc. as an Aerospace/Mechanical Engineer performing fluid dynamic analysis on new and existing aerodynamic vehicles.Most recently I was at GE Oil & Gas as a Senior Design and Analysis Engineer. I worked on designing natural gas pressure regulators and pressure surge relievers. I also specialized in performing CFD, FEA and FSI analysis throughout the design process.I was also a Research Assistant while finishing my MSME while developing a feature detection program using subjective logic for the detection of shock waves and separation & attachment lines in large CFD datasets.I previously worked for Williams International as an engineer performing structural and fluid analysis on small gas turbine jet engine components. I set up and ran FEA & CFD analysis on nozzles, turbine rotors, and static structural components using ANSYS & Fluent. Performed modeling, design, manufacturing engineering on like components, and preliminary MRB responsibilities.Personally, I am a persistent person who is willing to do what is needed to accomplish a task. I am confident in my abilities using classical physics, computers, and related engineering software programs necessary in a mechanical engineering position.
