About Matthew Lovacheff

After four years in the Navy, I began volunteering in substance abuse treatment. This was about two and a half decades ago. The beginning was in Virginia, then California, the Midwest and finally throughout the world. A decade ago, I began work in developing a substance abuse ministry utilizing group counseling dynamics. I have had the privilege of training over 60 leaders in the past decade and beginning new groups in throughout the U.S, Hawaii, and in London, Moscow, Manila, Santiago, Johannesburg, Cebu, Bagiao, and Guam to name a few. I've learned a lot about cultural differences in attitudes surrounding substance abuse disorders. I have developed educational programs and trained executive level professionals in substance abuse awareness and prevention throughout the world. • Presently, I am the International Christian Church Tribe World Sector Chemical Recovery Director with a decade and a half of substance abuse administration experience. • My mission is establishing functioning substance abuse ministries in each of the churches in our geographic charge of the Southwest United States and Pacific Rim. • I am a teacher, motivational speaker, team player, and team builder. • I work with all my heart at every task and I work to live life to the full. • In my previous position I took a stagnant substance abuse ministry, rebranded the ministry, developed a curriculum, trained 60 leaders, and planted 30 active groups throughout 190 churches in 60 countries. • Currently, I am seeking part time employment in any position that will be mutually beneficial for the purpose of funding ministry work and travel. In my free time, I play pool, swim, weightlift, play video games, and write books. I volunteer in the community and attend city council meetings to stay abreast of current affairs and assist where needed. I am learning book binding as a hobby and I enjoy spending time with my wife of 20 years and my two daughters watching poorly made movies.
