About Matthew Lowry

I was lucky enough to be one of the last Toolmakers to go through an apprenticeship in the classic sense. I worked through my apprenticeship in the beginning of my career at Micro Mold and went through all the difficult downturn in 2002-2003. Recieved my journeymens card in 2005 despite the school's in my area closing for class time. Advanced through the cnc aspect of the trade in 2004 on a couple Mitsubishi wire edm then moved on to 2 Moriseiki mills using Mastercam. Had a very challenging 5 years heading the CNC mill department working with plastic injection molding on automotive and medical work. In 2011 I moved on from that aspect of Tool & die and started at Lord. Working in this environment has given me the advantage of working on multiple machines building complex molds, fixtures and aviation components. It has been exciting to advance to this level and I can't wait to see what the future will bring.
