About Matthew Luz

Despite advocacy work and efforts to address the mental health crisis on a global level, accessibility and comprehensive care remain a core concern in our nation. Barriers to effective treatment arise from differences in various demographics, such as age, gender, race, as well as practicing unintentional cultural insensitivity, thereby the need for appropriately trained therapists are how to work toward alleviating ongoing discrepancies in how individuals can receive care. By delivering sound and ethical treatment, improvements in interpersonal wellness and overall quality of life are what I hope to help foster in the individuals I serve. Among my aspirations in my working profession as a therapist are to provide services for preadolescent and adolescent youth I see in my practice alongside the use of acceptance and commitment therapy. The intention of this modality helps guide treatment needs in order to promote envisioning a meaningful life, understanding values, and defining authenticity for themselves.
