About Matthew Maimone

One of the youngest applicants in the conservatory’s history, Matthew Maimone was accepted into The Juilliard School at the age of 10. For the next twelve years, he studied piano performance at this institution, competing and touring extensively, graduating with the faculty award and academic honors in 2017. Upon graduation, Matthew founded Metropolitan Concert Artists: a bespoke music tutoring business that pairs conservatory trained artists with private clients across the United States. MCA is committed to social impact, and a portion of all proceeds go towards a scholarship fund for students who cannot afford music education. Currently, Matthew is pursuing an MBA degree at Columbia Business School. He is Associate Vice President of Fundraising at Columbia Business School’s Impact Investing Fund (Microlumbia), and has recently accepted a full-time offer as a Private Banker at J. P. Morgan. Career highlights include receiving a Golden Ticket on American Idol, making his Off-Broadway debut in With A Song In My Fists in which he was the head composer, lyricist, and pianist, and touring extensively with Concerts For Compassion, a not-for-profit that brings music to refugees across the globe. Matthew enjoys guest speaking on the intersection between arts and business at both The Juilliard School and The Millie Group. In his free time, he enjoys long runs (no, seriously) with his wife, Jocelyn, and cooking new recipes from the NYTimes Cooking App.
