About Matthew Major

My multicultural background, having lived in more than six countries and earned my French Baccalauréat with distinctions, has shaped my intuitive nature for learning and allowed me to develop critical lifelong communication skills. I am pursuing my undergraduate degree in Environmental Studies at the University of Waterloo. Upon completion, I aspire to integrate my knowledge of geographic systems and the use of spatial analysis tools into data analysis and provide a shift in perspective in terms of how data is utilized & viewed. I am continually expanding my expertise in software tools such as ArcGIS Pro, PowerBI, and Excel, and my proficiency in Python, R, and SQL enhances my efficiency in utilizing these tools. Personally, I am passionate about football, have traveled to over 10 countries across 4 continents, and enjoy calisthenics and cooking. I am young, eager to learn, and ready to adapt to new environments. Supervisors have consistently regarded me as reliable, hardworking and always having a positive attitude. Simply put - I set goals and achieve results.
