About Matthew Matlock

As an audiovisual production specialist at the Headquarters Air Force Reserve Command, I apply media production, public affairs, and social media management skills to create engaging and informative content for the Air Force Reserve community and the public. I have a bachelor of science in Cinematography from Full Sail University and a mass communications foundation certificate with an emphasis on broadcast journalism from the Defense Information School. I am a published military journalist with articles, photos, and video content featured in various media outlets, such as Newsweek, NFL Network, and military-related news outlets. With over 14 years of experience in the US Air Force, active and reserve components, and part of the civilian workforce, I have developed a strong sense of duty, teamwork, leadership, and a passion for storytelling and communication. I have honed my skills in public relations, community engagement, and content production for leadership, stakeholders, and the public. My mission is to showcase the achievements, challenges, and opportunities of the Air Force Reserve and to inspire others to join or support this unique and diverse organization.
