About Matthew McConnaughey

As the Director of Credential Services at UMass Global, I lead the workflow, goals, objectives, process, and procedures for accreditation alignment and performance measures. I develop the strategic plan for the department and manage, direct, and evaluate the staff, ensuring high customer service standards for students, faculty, and staff. I also partner with other departments to create systems for reporting and transparency for Accreditation bodies. With over 16 years of experience in credential services, I have a proven track record of providing strategic and tactical advice to prospective/current educators on Teaching Credential requirements and tracking performance to plan. I generate metrics and customer reports, investigate and resolve complex issues cross-functionally/organizationally, perform document and data validation, audit/compliance support and monitoring, analyze staff development training matrices, and develop appropriate training objectives and improvement processes. I am passionate about improving operational efficiency and process improvement.
