About Matthew McNerney

For over 20 years, Matthew has developed immersive experiences in virtually every industry and sector across three continents and in six languages. Over people a year experience his work, which focuses on how environments shape human behaviors, building community, fostering empathy, and nurturing loyalty through play and emotional storytelling. He is a fierce advocate for the seamless integration of physical and digital environments and a firm believer in the power of technology to extend humanity’s best version of itself. He is a frequent public speaker at national conferences, including the Mayo Clinic, SEGD, and GlobalShop. He guest lectures annually at FIT, Pratt Institute (his alma mater), and Seton Hall. As Chief Creative Officer, Matthew spearheads the vision and approach to each visitor experience project we undertake. He plays a critical role in overseeing our exhibit design work, pushing creative ideas, collaborating with architects and other exhibit specialists, and developing engaging museum experiences. He has previously led teams at Landor, Eight Inc, Potion, and RAA. Previous clients include The William J. Clinton Presidential Library, The Cleveland Museum of Art, Moscow’s Russian Jewish Museum, and the Tenement Museum, among others.
