About Matthew Mecray

Matt Mecray brings to his clients critical insights into the intersection of technology innovation and markets, helping them plan for and understand new techno-market opportunities. He has been with RTI’s Innovation Advising group for nearly 20 years, and before that worked at Battelle Memorial Institute, Gorham Advanced Materials Institute, and at Diamonex, a venture-funded spin-out from Air Products and Chemicals. With B.S. and M.S. degrees in Materials Science and Engineering from Penn State University, his expertise spans across many types of materials/processes, market applications and industry sectors. Clients include small to large corporations, universities and research institutes, and government agencies. During his time at RTI, he has led and participated in hundreds of projects, engaging directly with clients to work together in developing techno-market insights, enabling clients to build effective innovation, partnership and business strategies. Matt has also organized a number of highly successful conferences, serving senior technologists and industry executives, on new technology spaces of emerging commercial significance.
