About Matthew Murdock

I started out working on a farm for ten years. I began by driving the grain cart, then worked my way up to managing the day to day operations. I have helped with everything around the farm from planting, harvest, scouting, field work, repairs, improvement to grain facilities and much more. Agriculture is my passion, weather it be in machinery manufacturing, crops/livestock, or farming, it is all very important to me.I have had two previous internships. One with CNHi as the Technical Information/Standard Repair Time Intern, and as the Product Support Intern with Kuhn North America. From these internships I have gained knowledge of the machinery manufacturing side of agriculture, along with learning how large companies interact and care about the small farmer. I was employed full time as a Technical Support Specialist at Kuhn North America, specializing as the North American service expert for forage mergers and fertilizer spreaders. I must be able to assist dealerships and customers in repairing and maintaining their equipment in order to reduce downtime and prolong the life of the machine. I conduct training on both of these product lines for company representatives and dealer personnel. I also communicate issues with engineers at the North American manufacturing facility, as well as the factories in other companies. Currently, I am a Territory Manager for Kuhn North America. I will manage dealers that sell Kuhn products in Illinois, Northern Indiana, and Southeastern Iowa, and help them with inventory management, business with Kuhn, and customer relations. I work with dealers and customers every day in order to grow our business and ensure the success of every farm.I have a strong passion for agriculture, where I strive to do all that I am able in order to make farms as profitable and efficient as possible, especially during these challenging times. I received my MBA in December 2021 from Western Illinois University.
