About Matthew Nauerth

Hello. My Name is Matthew Nauerth. I have a very strong background in the public service and security field. I started working security about 10 years ago when I was hired at the Mall at Greece Ridge. I worked there for just under two years until I was hired at Ginna Nuclear Power Plant where I worked for eight and a half years. I had annual re-qualifications with the AR-15 rifle and Glock 17 pistol that included a day, night and tactical course that were timed. I joined the fire service in December of 2014 when I joined with Lake Shore fire department as a volunteer. I completed firefighter 1 training in May 2015. After moving back to Brockport in early August, I transferred to the Brockport fire district where I continued to build my knowledge of fire fighting. In December of 2018, I was hired on with the Brighton Fire District. I completed my 11 week training and graduated from the NYS Fire Academy and received my 229 certification recognizing that I have completed the training for the following courses- Firefighter 1 (National Level)- Firefighter 2 (National Level)- Apparatus Operator - Pump - Truck company operations - Apparatus Operator - Emergency Vehicle Operations - Firefighter Survival - SCBA Confidence - HAZMAT Operations (National Level)- Confined space awareness and safety - VROL (Vehicle rescue operations level)- Flammable Gas Emergency Response - RFFT Fire Prevention Training - Fire Reporting Workshop - Wildland Firefighting In addition to the above courses, I also have received certifications for; Engine company operations, Aerial Operations, Water Rescue Operations (awareness level) and I am a NYS Emergency Medical Technician(EMT).
