About Matthew Norris

Since beginning my career in 2009, I have worked across multiple industries, from small manufacturing businesses to ASX-listed companies. I am familiar with both start-up environments and established listed businesses and enjoy being versatile and capable of working within different industries, with experience in both medical device and renewable energy sectors. I enjoy being collaborative and thriving on human connection, working with subject matter experts to help develop not only myself but the space I work within. I enjoy being versatile, from my fitting and machining core background to WHS, Jira, and site management. More importantly, I enjoy managing and mentoring a team, using our combined skills to deliver efficiently and effectively. I am always looking for ways to add value to any business I am part of, and I enjoy being a team player involved in various aspects of operations, from budget planning and future-proofing to WHS support. I am familiar with operations management, team leadership, budget management, resource planning, and site management. I love to develop myself both professionally and personally and really enjoy challenges and innovative approaches to problems the world faces. If it can help to improve people's lives, then I want to be part of it! Outside of work, I have a passion for helping the community and thoroughly enjoy volunteering or supporting charity. I have taken some time off volunteering in the Emergency sector to concentrate on my family, enjoying being a dad to my young daughter on the weekends for the time being. Family is a big part of my life and spending as much time with them and experiencing life is important to me. If I am not with my family on an outing, you will find me cheering on the Swans, watching F1 or generally getting lost within sports.
