I am a senior at the University of South Carolina studying Chemical Engineering and currently working at R.E. Mason for a Co-operative Education Internship. My long-term goal is to help design and manufacture exceptional products, develop and learn various methods of production, work closely with process systems, and advance my career into potential management positions. In High School I discovered a passion for Chemistry and decided to pursue a career in Chemical Engineering. I was fascinated by all of the concepts and theories associated with Chemistry and also enjoyed learning about the diverse properties of chemicals and their reactions. Since starting college, my vision is to work on a chemical process that has the potential to make a great impact on society. Whether that involves working in the petrochemical industry and helping to design and create a process for better fuel, or being involved in the energy industry to help power homes and cities, or possibly manufacturing fine chemicals that could aid in research all over the world. The possibilities are endless! I enjoy learning about different processes and the steps necessary to make a product. I'm absorbed in the study of every detail in order to make improvements on design while also maintaining safety and cost effectiveness. What will bring me the most satisfaction is creating the best product and learning about new methods of manufacturing and production. My commitment and dedication to work sets me apart from my competition. I want to not only be successful myself, but ensure that my employer, my fellow employees and our company is successful.
