About Matthew Obal

Mr Obal’s career started as a personal fitness trainer assisting others to reach personal health goals. Mr. Obal developed his passion for promoting health as he was rewarded by his client's success. Mr. Obal graduated Magna cum Laude with a B.S. in Exercise Science from Temple University, Phila, PA. He attended DeSales University where he obtained a Master of Science as a Physician Assistant. Mr. Obal has been a certified PA for 18 years at UF Health Shands, Gainesville, FL. He worked on the Hospitalist Service under UF Internal Medicine physicians for 9 years. He co-managed internal medicine, urgent care, renal transplant, cardiology, lung transplant, and bone marrow transplant patients. He now works for the Bone Marrow Transplant Program at UF Health Cancer Center. He helps manage leukemia, multiple myeloma, lymphoma patients receiving chemotherapy, stem cell transplants, and complications.Mr. Obal believes that most chronic diseases, and even death is preventable by practicing a healthy lifestyle. He has observed that society promotes an inactive lifestyle and poor dietary habits. He feels that health is mainly a personal responsibility and works to show others that the answer to most health problems is to focus on the cause. He believes that many chronic diseases may be reversed and even completely prevented. Mr. Obal assists patients using a greater focus on the values of Lifestyle and Wellness Medicine.Mr. Obal founded Preventive Health Advisor, a free educational database of consolidated wellness research. The database focuses on RCTs, cohort studies and population studies performed on foods, nutrition, dietary changes, vitamins, herbs, supplements, and exercise. Mr. Obal developed Clinic Boxes wellness programs with complete educational materials, diet, exercise and supplement support. He implements these programs at VIP Health and Laser in Gainesville, FL.Mr. Obal opened VIP Health and Laser Clinic to combine Wellness Medicine and Various Laser treatments. He is highly focused on achieving the desired health goals and results for clients.
