PhD Candidate | Nanopore Researcher | Passionate about communicating Science & Medicine Hey there! I am a PhD candidate deeply immersed in the dynamic field of nanopore research, currently navigating my way through the fourth year of my doctoral journey. Nanopores are used for the single-molecule analysis of various biomolecules. In my research, I use nanopores to characterize proteins that are implicated in various disease states. The research I am conducting is headed by Dr. MinJun Kim, a professor at SMU who recently received an NIH R01 grant to pursue this research. The research is cutting-edge and I am honored to be a part of it. I am passionate about communicating science, particularly in the context of medicine. I am a team player with a genuine passion for continuous learning, and have had the privilege of conducting research across the globe, from Argentina to South Korea. I am currently looking for a summer internship in Medical Affairs (summer 2024).
