I am a dedicated, resourceful, and highly skilled professional with 12 years of experience in the rail industry. Along my career pathway, I have gained recognition as a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) and am registered on the National Engineering Register (NER), Board of Professional Engineers Queensland (RPEQ), and Business Licensing Authority (RPEV), along with various rail infrastructure manager-specific accreditations. Specializing in railway traction distribution systems, I have broad experience in Australian and New Zealand heavy haulage, commuter, and light rail systems in 25kV AC, 1500V DC, 750V DC, and 600V DC traction power environments. My past roles and responsibilities have included Project and Design Management and delivering specialist technical advice as a Subject Matter Expert for rail infrastructure conceptualization, design, independent design verification, and client representation on many rail projects ranging from small asset renewals to multi-billion-dollar, multi-discipline mega-projects in a variety of brownfield and greenfield environments. Prior to my Design and Technical Advisory career pathway, I was involved in railway construction. During this career episode, I delivered and commissioned overhead electrification equipment in Queensland’s coal networks, delivering approximately 220km of electrification infrastructure. In this role, I gained key experience and understanding of safe working legislative requirements and industry best practices, along with the practical constraints and challenges of working within the rail corridor. Consolidating my Design, Technical Advisory, and Construction experience, I hold a technical competency foundation seldom available in the industry, allowing me to deliver projects efficiently and practically in alignment with client and stakeholder expectations. I undertake all projects I am involved in ethically and passionately, taking pride in my efforts in providing assets that benefit society.
