About Matthew Ploeger

My focus is on being a part of a diverse team of people who are committed to addressing the multi-layered and overlapping social and environmental justice crises. I have a history as a CPE trained chaplain and a pastor with a Masters of Divinity from McCormick Theological Seminary. I founded Earth Friendly Vehicles LLC and subsequently provided over 200 EV rentals over a three year period by merging my chaplain/pastoral skills with my entrepreneurial and community building skills. I firmly believe that when we all selflessly work together to tackle the climate and social problems of our world, we can create a new world where there is truly justice for all. Currently I am a part of the Climate Action Mapping Project of Wisconsin which aims to foster state-wide synergy across organizations focused broadly on climate action by providing a website that allows organizations and citizens to easily connect, coordinate, collaborate, and join existing climate-related initiatives in their area. I am also on the board for the ReJenerate Cooperative of Madison, which is tasked with guiding this housing cooperative through it's beginning stages. These two projects are exactly the type of work I want to be doing and will continue to do.
