About Matthew Potts

Since encountering the term 'reification' in software engineering, I've come to better understand the attributes that distinguish good software engineers from great ones. As an individual contributor, I enjoy solving complex problems and bringing capabilities and user experiences to life through Domain-Driven, and User-Centered Design. I strive to deliver simplicity over complexity, model solutions that intuitively describe the business domain and build enterprise software products that maximise developer experience, ease of change, and business impact. As a technical leader, I take great personal satisfaction from building high-performing autonomous teams, empowering and supporting them in achieving their goals, coaching them through development milestones, helping them to connect their work to its real world impact, and advocating for them across the organisation.
