CAREER HIGHLIGHTS-Sponsored by Ian Macleod Distillers, Ltd, to research and develop a limited-edition blended Scotch whisky for release to UK markets (4th qtr, 2022)-Spearheaded development of a new cask beer program (ongoing) for Lamplighter Brewing, resulting in a financially successful launch event.(Nov, 2023)-Developed, sourced equipment, and conducted instructional “How-to-Brew” online workshops for Aeronaut Brewing during the height of the COVID pandemic-Assisted with the revitalization of Aeronaut Brewing’s pilot brewing program, aiding product development and brand expansion. Hello! My name is Matt, and I'm an inquisitive, versatile, and creative brewer and spirit aficionado currently living in the Boston metro area. I completed my distinction-level Master of Science in Brewing and Distilling with Entrepreneurship MSc from Heriot-Watt University in 2022, and possess an insatiable desire to learn and grow while producing quality libations. Quick-learning and experienced at brewing operations, I've also provided developmental, educational, and personal support and training to peers, co-workers, and patrons across a range of industries. I pride myself on being a diplomatic team leader while excelling at cross-departmental communication, multi-tasking, and problem-solving. I believe a company's culture, vision, and sustainability efforts are incredibly important because they facilitate innovation and drive positive impacts on not only the beverage sector, but local/regional/global communities.
