About Matthew Roy

My name is Matthew Roy, and I am currently gaining experience and working towards a career in Law Enforcement. throughout the years I have volunteered with the Warwick Police Department as a Police Explorer. I was honor guard for the Warwick Police Explorers and have attended memorial services to present the American flag as well as march in parades. I have learned self discipline and gained a professional persona through my two years as a Police Explorer. I work hard and to the best of my ability at every job I have been given. Currently I am with Walmart Stores Inc. Where I started as a part-time Sales Associate and quickly promoted to full-time before being promoted again shorty after to an Asset Protection Associate. Through this position I have gained experience in retail security and interviewing shoplifters for purposes of merchandise recovery. I also have gained experience working with video surveillance and undercover techniques such as walking a sales floor to blend in with the general population and detect suspicious persons believed to be shoplifting or a danger to the customers and associates of the store. As of April 2015 I left Coventry Walmart to work at the Walmart in providence which is a maximum risk store and where I am currently employed.
