About Matthew Sauer

As a Mechatronics engineer I am currently integrating logic for conveyors, vision systems, gantries, articulated arms and CNC operations. I have been working closely with multiple teams to make the magic happen. Conversely, in my role as a technician at GXO Logistics, I led a team of technicians in a fast-paced production/distribution environment, where I troubleshot and repaired a variety of equipment, including conveyance, controls, and vision systems. I also created and established SOPs, and managed project deliverables and deadlines. With the help of my team, I successfully resolved several code calls and downtime events improving the efficiency and quality of the overall operations with regularity. I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Technologies from Purdue University in 2020, where I honed my skills in problem analysis, design for manufacturing, and MCC electrics. I have always had a passion for electronics and electrical design, which I discovered as a kid assembling D-I-Y circuit board kits. My goal is to apply this passion and skill to create effective solutions for current real-world problems in the automation industry. I thrive in challenging conditions and function extremely well outside my comfort zone.
