About Matthew Sett

Skilled biophysics graduate with 16 months of experience working in laboratories. I help companies maintain and manage laboratory equipment, perform experiments, and analyze the results. Some examples include: • Researching retinal phantoms by reviewing 30+ pieces of science literature, writing 2 essays about research being done in the field, performing experiments on the production of retinal phantoms, and presenting my work done to my supervisors. • Creating and inspecting over 100 photomasks for clients using a laser plotter and development processor. • Testing laboratory equipment at the York Microfabrication facility after it had been set up to ensure that it is ready and safe to use. Some of my personal research interests are thin films, microsystems, nanotechnology, and nuclear research. Additionally, I love volunteering I’ve been volunteering with the kids at my community church for the past few years. I get excited about opportunities where I get to work in a laboratory to help companies create resarch that will be used to create better conditions for everyone.
