About Matthew Slimp

After completing a associates degree and working towards a higher degree I decided to join the US Air Force entering in the Security Forces and served for 4 plus years including during the 9/11 attacks. After my time with the Air Force was over I left with a honorable discharge. I then chose to enter the Army as the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan we’re going and joking the Engineers and learned how to operate heavy equipment and how to use explosives. I served a tour in Iraq with the engineers and re-enlisted to become a military police officer in the army. I learned how to apply my training to enforce the UCMJ and eventually joined the army CID drug team at Ft.Carson,Colorado. I was honorably discharged after a grand total of 13 years service and 3 tours in the Middle East also. 2 of which were in Iraq. Upon leaving the military I joint MFR’s Best One Fleet Service where I was involved in inside sales and billing, national accounts and fleet maintenance for our customers. I did that there for 6 years helping to run a store in many areas of its business in day to day running if taking care of our many multiple trucking fleets. In March of 2019 I left and joined Sunbelt Rentals as a Service Manager if a 24 million dollar rental fleet of heavy equipment and delivery trucks and trailers for the St.Louis are and southern Illinois area. I manage the service department as well as our mechanics and repair services. I enjoy team building and growing a new staff to complete our daily requirements and service for our multitude of different customers.
