About Matthew Swartz

I help entrepreneurs, leaders, and high performers to decrease their pain and struggles so they can live extraordinary, fulfilling lives. My life mission is to help individuals discover how to reduce pain, increase fulfillment, and make a positive impact on the world. I am the Co-Founder and President of Evolving Lives, Inc, a virtual therapy company where my wife and I help clients to heal and grow. I am also the founder and CEO of Evolving Lives Professional Group, LLC, where I help individuals and organizations to let go of struggle so they can enhance their impact through speaking, coaching, and training. Many of my clients are entrepreneurs, leaders, and high performers who want to unlock their best selves. My main clinical specialties include Flow State, anxiety, stress, trauma, grief (complicated grief, especially loss due to suicide), and ADHD. I utilize innovate, evidence based practices combined with genuine relationship to help my clients find healing, growth, and transformation. I also the Chief Psychology Officer at Recess Labs, where we utilize proprietary Neurotechnology in our App to help users achieve Flow State and unlock their best selves. I help inform the psychology behind Recess, and utilize my background to help impact Recess' users and partners. I am trained in and specialize in a variety of clinical evidenced based practices, including Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Interpersonal Skills Training, Exposure Therapy, and Complicated Grief Treatment. Previously, I was the Director of Training and Development and Assistant Clinical Director at PCS-Counseling and PCS-Global, where I helped lead a team of mental health practitioners, coaches, and trainers in impacting lives and businesses throughout Michigan for over 8 years. Before that, I was living and working in New York City as an outpatient substance abuse counselor and clinical social worker. While in New York, I also received my Masters of Science in Social Work at Columbia, while I served as a Correctional Mental Health Clinician at Rikers Island and outpatient substance abuse counselor at VIP Community services. I was intensively trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy by Andre Ivanoff at Columbia University.
