About Matthew Throne

Currently employed by Aerodyne Research LLC in their R&D department. I am responsible for creating prototype parachutes along with conducting inspections and tests throughout various stages of their production. I am also responsible for managing a database that tracks orders and ensures an efficient production cycle through our facility. Previously employd by Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in their Financial Systems Management department. I am responsible for invoicing various tuition sponsors and applying the funds to student accounts. My tasks also include maintaining automated processes based on previous, current, and future terms. Working on the back-end of Campus Solutions, all of my duties are extremely time critical and play a significant part in keeping the entire Daytona Beach, Prescott, and Worldwide Campuses operating correctly for not only the students, but the rest of the financial departments I work alongside with. My title, Operations Support, is a new position that was introduced by the department's director to bridge the gap between all members of the team. This position constantly requires me to learn new systems and processes to be able to see the big picture and discover ways that the university can keep up with the ever growing number of students that apply each year. I was in the United States Marine Corps for four years. I was honor graduate in my occupational school and my unit had received two awards for outstanding performance two years in a row. I was given a special opportunity to travel to Alaska for a training exercise which involved cross training for satellite communications. I held a billet that tasked me to maintain ~$2 million worth of transportation assets. My actions while supervising the repair and maintenance of these vehicles had increased unit readiness by 30%. I was honorably discharged at the end of my contract, having earned the rank of Sergeant.
