About Matthew Ticcino

I work primarily out of Milkboy the Studio in northeast Philly as an audio engineer running sessions for the recording, mixing, and mastering processes. When I’m not engineering a session for any genre including r&b, rap, pop, and rock, I’m either recording/editing an audiobook or editing sound effects/mixing dialogue for a film. I’ve had the honor to work alongside and assist Larry Gold, String Arranger for numerous multi-platinum and Grammy winning records, including 4x Grammy Winning single “Leave the Door Open” by Silk Sonic for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, R&B Song of the Year, R&B Performance which I assisted in the recording of the strings. During my time as a student at the Art Institute of Philadelphia, I've had the opportunity to learn directly from Grammy-Nominated and Grammy-Award winning engineers. My knowledge of the production process has exponentially increased through my time at Milkboy the Studio. I expanded my knowledge while putting in countless studio hours as an intern. While a student at the Art Institute, I held a position as President of the school's audio club for 1 year. With the help of my fellow students and the instructor of the club, the audio club expanded its horizons to the Philadelphia area, including students from Temple, UArts, UPenn, and Drexel to name a few. The audio club I rebuilt from the ground up is now a student chapter of the internationally recognized organization known as the Audio Engineering Society.
