I'm an Associate Director in RSM UK's Newcastle office, where I split my time between working in our National Tax Technical team and advising on private client taxes. In my client-facing role, I am particularly interested in helping individuals achieve tax-efficiency in- structuring their business interests and investments- planning business exits; and - carrying out wealth and succession planning. As part of the technical team, I am responsible for keeping my colleagues up-to-date with an ever-changing UK tax landscape, which involves identifying, understanding and summarising key tax issues, risks and opportunities, and providing technical support on client work and marketing materials. I started my tax career in my hometown, working in RSM UK's Hull office for a little over five years, before moving further north to Newcastle in 2019. Working in a big student city, I have a keen interest in property tax issues. I'm always happy to talk about personal taxes, but I can be extra chatty if you want to talk about capital gains tax, inheritance tax and property stamp taxes.
