About Matthew Torley

I love building, managing and securing networks and servers, and I have had the good fortune to be paid for it. Having the opportunity to build out, secure (CIS, PCI, etc.), ever evolving systems and networks has been amazing, and I'm looking for an opportunity to work with new systems, solve new problems and take my experience further. I have been wearing a lot of hats, being the sole member of the network, cybersecurity and server management teams while also handling the trickiest of the escalated desktop support tickets. I don't mind this, it does make for an interesting day and I'm open to offers, but I think I'd like to focus more on networking and security. While I'm confident in my skills and have years of solid experience, there are so many areas where I have only scratched the surface, and I dearly want to dig in further. Something I do very quickly. For example, within a week or two of learning what Microsoft's RADIUS implementation was called, I was helping sister companies deploy them with EAP-TLS (1.2) authentication on their wired and wireless networks. I believe in taking an ownership approach to the systems I am responsible for, and despite an almost irrepressible sense of humor, I take it very seriously. While I generally work on my own, I do like working with a good team. One where people have each other's backs and don't mind going an extra mile to help out, because that's how I operate and it has been my pleasure to have worked with people who saw it the same.
