About Matthew Tosca

Matthew Tosca is a visionary and leader shaping the immersive and collaborative arts industry” Founder and Artistic Director of Vox Vanguard, Matthew Tosca is a highly-trained orchestral conductor and violinist; he is also a Synesthete. Tosca is dedicated to the transformation of the classical arts in the 21st century. In 2008, Tosca realized not everyone visualized sound in the same way. Upon making this discovery, he began to design and develop a performance concept that would allow audiences to visualize and experience music in a manner that truly immersed them in its sounds and sentiments. At that moment, Tosca formulated the foundations for what was to become Vox Vanguard. Since founding Vox Vanguard in 2015, Tosca has designed immersive experiences for clients such as Tatler, Burberry, K11, The BRITS, Boodles, Tempus Magazine, The Earl and Countess of Derby and more. With nearly 20 years of experience on three continents as an educator, a professional violinist and conductor, Matthew’s interests lie in the way we learn and interpret the world through our senses and how this can be enhanced by collaborative and interdisciplinary educational methods. Matthew founded Vox Academy in 2022, an international education platform of Vox Vanguard, that trains contemporary creatives in abstract thought via collaboration. Matthew was recently featured on NOWTV showcasing the prototype Vox Academy Portal, powered by Lucid Worlds - an immersive Web 3.0 online platform for interdisciplinary and sensory education, as well as recently collaborating with Worcester Polytechnic Institute's Master's Program in Data Science to design a cutting-edge piece of technology that merges A.I. and music.
