I have worked in the insurance industry for 16 years with six years in compliance and gained broad experience of regulatory affairs and data protection in that time, as well as being involved in a range of non-compliance activities including contract negotiation and management, reviewing FOS complaints, supplier onboarding, document control, tender writing and responding to clients’ due diligence requests. Prior to joining the compliance team, I worked as the company’s fraud specialist and set up the fraud function from square one, developing the required processes in line with regulatory and company requirements to investigate fraudulent claims and terminate policies when necessary. This work also included recovery of monies from confirmed fraudsters and working with industry partners to share intelligence.
