About Matthew Wild

My experience spans hands on operational finance roles in business to being a trusted advisor to middle market businesses and their stakeholders. Additionally, I have a specialism in advising Trustees of defined benefit schemes. In my advisory practice, I work with financially distressed businesses to assist in resolving their issues. Working with stakeholders, this involves carrying out financial reviews, providing business turnaround services, refinancing and working capital management solutions, credit rating improvements and accelerated business sales. In the event that positive solutions are unachievable, as a qualified insolvency practitioner I am able to act as a Company’s Administrator. I have significant experience in the leisure sector (hotels, pubs and restaurants and even waterparks!), the care sector and with engineering and construction businesses. From my days in business, I have a strong understanding of vehicle rental and logistics operators, and of technology businesses and their sales models. My Trustee clients look after a wide range of Pension Schemes, in terms of sponsoring employer size and sector. I have significant experience advising Trustees where employers are restructuring, including dealing with the Pensions Regulator.
