About Matthew Wokasch

I recently joined Nuveen Real Estate (formerly TH Real Estate) as a Senior Director focused on developing the team's quantitative analytics and research platform. The primary focus of the position is to leverage proprietary data sources to enhance performance across various investment funds. Prior to joining Nuveen, I was a Senior Vice President on the Advisory and Consulting Team of Green Street Advisors, an independent Real Estate Research shop. The Advisory team works alongside investors, management, and property owners to help them through transitional periods. The team was heavily involved in IPOs, Conversions, Transaction, or other capital & strategic events. During my time at Green Street I have garnered experience in nearly every major sector (Retail, Residential, Office, Industrial, Storage, and Hotels), including most of the non-traditional sectors (Data Centers, Health Care, Cold Storage, Prisons, Single Family Rental, Net Lease, Utility, and Telecom). Prior to joining the Advisory and Consulting team, I established Green Street's Quantitative Analytics team. The team is primarily responsible for reconciling the in-depth bottom-up approach employed by our REIT analysts with our top-down macro-economic view of REITs and real estate. As a part of this role, I developed the Green Street Advisors Commercial Property Price Index and Manhattan Office Price Index, which are featured monthly in the Wall Street Journal and other business papers. I joined Green Street in 2006 as part of the office and industrial group. I obtained my M.B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and I am a CFA charterholder.
