About Matthews Phiri

I am a Physiotherapist at St Gabriel's Foundation, where I provide high-quality patient care and management for various conditions in children with complex medical needs through a family centred approach within Treehouse CDNT in Limerick, Ireland. I have a special interest in paediatric physiotherapy and community-based rehabilitation, and I enjoy working with different populations and settings. I graduated from the University of Malawi with a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy/Therapist, where I gained both theoretical and practical knowledge and skills. I also completed a one-year internship at Zomba Central Hospital, where I gained valuable experience in patient assessment, referral, and supervision. I am self-driven, highly motivated, and passionate about physiotherapy. I constantly seek to learn new skills and techniques, such as mindfulness, to enhance my practice and improve patient outcomes.
