About Matthias Brunwin

I have always been a communicator at heart. As a child, I was a frequent prize-winner in story-writing competitions at school, where I also grew to love performing in plays. In later years, these passions found new life in blogging, creative writing, and performing poetry. I'm someone who always finds a lot of joy in seeing my projects through to completion, whether it’s my own work or part of a more collaborative process. In choosing an English Degree at the University of Sussex, I discovered a wealth of practical applications in which I could develop my penchant for written and verbal communication. Having specialized in contemporary genre fiction and its relationship with current technological trends, my studies gave me an excellent taste for project management, analytical and critical thinking, presentation giving and, of course, time management. It also left me well-versed in a wide range of writing styles, from blog posts and creative writing through to formal communications. My accomplishment of a First Class degree was also backed up by rock solid IT skills, including a comprehensive knowledge of a number of software packages and web tools. After completing my degree, I continued to add to my four years of experience in the Retail and Hospitality sector. Now, I am undertaking a Customer Service position at Aviva, where I can take these skills further at the same time as gaining invaluable office-based experience.
