About Matthias Djan

I'm a UK based Director of Photography, that also works within the lighting department in film as a gaffer and spark. I have always been interested in visual storytelling looking to evoke meaning and emotion from composition, movement and lighting. I've been working in the industry for 6 years now, working on diversely exciting projects range from large scale feature films, broadcast television series and engaging and topical independent shorts. I've been on sets of all shapes and sizes giving me the opportunity to gain experience working in a range of different budgets. I've have predominantly worked in narrative, leading the camera and lighting department on many independent films, but have also spent a good amount of years doing videography and corporate work.
