About Matthias Hadler

I was born in Redwood City near San Fransico and grew up on three different continents. Currently, I am studying at an engineering school, majoring in robotics. I really love science, technology, and especially aerospace, which I find extremely exciting. Seeing airplanes fills me with a sense of adventure and the joy of visiting friends around the world. In 2023, I joined a university club called Aerospace Team Graz (ASTG), which participates in the annual European Rocketry Challenge. Several universities compete during the challenge and try to launch rockets to a specific target altitude (3km or 9km). Last year we won first place in two different categories and this year we are working on a rocket called ALCEDO, which will try to reach 9km.I love learning about new things. Recently I started following SFIA (Science & Futurism with Isaac Arthur) and it feels like there is something to be optimistic about in virtually every field. Sharing ideas is important. Many problems seem impossible to solve until one starts looking outside of the box. There are so many absolutely fantastic ideas people have, that I am absolutely positive, that we will find a way to make the world a much better place.
