Background
About Matthias Theuser
I am a research scientist specializing in antibody development for in vitro diagnostics (IVD), with a focus on antibody conjugation. Since 2018, I have been part of the R&D team at EUROIMMUN, contributing to the development of innovative reagents, some of which are protected by patents. My academic background includes a PhD in biochemistry from Freie Universität Berlin, where I worked in the lab of Prof. Markus Wahl on molecular mechanisms of spliceosome activation. This work, published in several peer-reviewed journals, formed the basis of my expertise in protein and RNA biochemistry, structural biology, and enzyme kinetics. Beyond my scientific work, I am passionate about knowledge transfer and supporting the next generation of scientists. In particular, I am interested in bridging the gap between academic research and industrial application.
