About Mattie McClaskey

As a mental health counselor, I am drawn to the process of developing insight, healing, and well-being. I partner with the people I work with to support and empower them to identify meaningful goals, broaden and build strengths, learn new tools, and process and heal difficult experiences. I do this as a Professional Counselor Associate in Oregon and hold an M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a B.S. in Psychological Sciences from Northern Arizona University. I am a friend and ally of the LGBTQIA+ community. Goal-oriented and a lover of learning, I strive to continually enrich my skillset and help others achieve their own goals for living the life they want. Some of the most meaningful work experiences I have had have been working with diverse community members in both clinical and higher education settings as an researcher, volunteer, career development specialist, and now therapist. I have experience in counseling, mentorship, research and writing, leadership, and supervision.
