About Matty Ayers

Most simply I build narratives that get noticed and brands that can't be ignored. Whether they are emerging start-ups or large legacy brands, I provide a unique perspective on who they are and generate excitement around what they can be. Inspiration meets aspiration, strategy meets creative. In the end, I help brands look and feel more human to the human beings they are trying to reach. This means creating enduring value for the customer first, brand second and shareholders last. I’ve been described as a digital savant, behavioral scientist, a just crazy enough visionary, an empathetic enthusiast, and a friend. I’ve started, scaled, and exited gracefully. I’ve been fired from companies I’ve started, made enough mistakes to know what’s important, and sat in rooms I never thought I would be in, then advised in those same rooms as an expert on how to future proof those businesses. Today, I serve as creative chairman for a leading behavioral science studio leading brand strategy, design and digital product - giving leading global brands and emerging VC-backed startups unquestionable clarity about their place in the world. I advise and invest in impact technology focused on fostering belonging (community), imagination and technology. That has allowed me in my latest endeavor to team up with some of the world’s best investors, builders and talent managers to help bridge the gap between cultural icons and their fans, and reimagine the future of entertainment using the blockchain and AI.
