Currently for the last 8 years I am the Patient Financial Services Cash Poster. I am responsible for posting received checks, processing payments from insurance companies and patients, detailed record keeping of all accounts, maintain Excel spreadsheets with daily and monthly revenue, work directly with the Hospital CFO, Controller and Accounts Payable Administrator regarding payments and postings, complete healthcare audit requests from the CFO, the liaison with outside contractors to send their daily payments and EOB's via scanned emails, Spanish/English interpreter for the Hospital. Prior to my current position I worked in the Patient Financial Services department I was responsible for the daily deposit of Health Insurance Payments and patient payments, applied self-pay discounts, and entered misc charges into patient accounts. Prior to working in PFS I was the Hospital Switchboard operator.
