About Maud Contrant

PhD with more than 3 years of post-doctoral experience into Innovative Research of Molecular Biology aspect of Diseases (characterization of interactions and regulation pathways involving miRNAs, RNAs and proteins). Globally, I led research projects to understand more precisely the pathogenesis related to viruses. During my PhD I was focus on viral miRNA biogenesis regulation linked to KSHV infection. During my post-doc experience in Salt Lake City, I analyzed more precisely the interactome of EBV proteins. Now, for my project related to Influenza A virus, I am elucidating and deciphering the mechanisms controling the Influenza A viral packaging at the RNA level. Strong expertise in RNA research and molecular mechanism. Extensive experience with sequencing and NGS library preparation and analyses through all my research projects. Background with genome manipulation and production of viruses (Herpesvirus and Influenza virus) I learned and optimized powerful technics (SHAPE, iCLIP, MIME) leading me to be particularly motivated towards problem solving.
