About Maureen Affleck

I hold a Juris Doctor (JD) from the University of Victoria, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA, Psychology) from the University of British Columbia, both in Canada. I was called to the Bar of British Columbia, where I practiced law in a high-profile criminal firm assisting a variety of clients to attain favourable outcomes. In addition to practicing law, I also have professional experience as a judicial clerk, researcher, writer, editor, project coordinator, legislative researcher, lobbyist, interviewer, drafter, legal assistant and paralegal. In these roles, I have utilised my excellent management, administrative, organisational and communication skills to achieve timely and favourable results for my clients and employers, whether working independently or as part of a team. I have lived and worked in a number of countries, and am a dual Canadian-Australian citizen. I have completed a number of Australian law courses and am currently studying Parliamentary Law, Policy and Procedure.
