As a former NCAA collegiate runner, I value exercise and the importance it has on health and wellness. Because fitness and nutrition are closely entangled, I majored in bio-nutrition and achieved a bachelor's degree in Dietetics. Seeing the vast number of people with chronic diseases, I continued my education with a degree in nursing. My nursing specialty quickly developed in the field of cardiology.
