Background
About Maureen Kaufman
I have been in television since I was sophomore in high school. It all started in a class where we produced an 8 minute, daily newscast. The show involved the school announcements and video features that were related to Omaha Northwest High School. It wasn't till my final semester of my senior year when I decided that Broadcast Journalism would be my major at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. At UNO, I was involved with National Broadcasting Society and UNO Television. Through both organizations I have been able to add numerous things to my resume.(I've worked as a production assistant for American Idol and Warren Buffet's I.O.U.S.A. programs, just to mention a couple.) At WOWT, I have been trained on various roles. From starting out as a Production Assistant, I learned quickly that I must train on everything. The more you know, the more valuable you become to any company. I’ve had my hands in directing and leadership. I am always trying to perfect my craft in new ways.
