About Maureen Monaghan

As a Creative Director, Artist, and Educator, I bring over 15 years of hands-on experience in animation, graphic design, model making, and arts instruction, blending traditional craft with digital storytelling to spark imagination. From stop-motion and CG animation to miniature set construction and curriculum design, I’ve worked across classroom, studio, and production environments to lead projects and nurture emerging talent. Whether I’m sculpting a 1:12 scale model for a live-action film, directing an animated short, or guiding students through puppet-making and storyboarding, I approach each challenge with curiosity, care, and a commitment to craft. Known for a student-centered teaching style and for visual storytelling, I have designed and delivered courses for diverse students including both youth and adults. Having collaborated with major production studios and presented at international conferences, my work bridges artistry and instruction, translating complex creative processes into accessible, engaging experiences.
