About Maureen Vanhook

With over three decades of experience as a dental healthcare professional and educator, I bring a passion for clinical excellence, academic leadership, and professional education. Currently, I serve as the KOL & Professional Education Manager for Endodontics and SureSmile at Dentsply Sirona, where I lead strategic Key Opinion Leader (KOL) engagement initiatives, develop global education programs, and collaborate across cross-functional teams to elevate clinical learning and product adoption. Previously, I spent 12 years as Associate Clinical Professor and Program Director of Dental Hygiene at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry, where I led curriculum development, faculty training, and student success initiatives. My work emphasized critical thinking, interprofessional collaboration, and innovation in clinical education—earning accolades such as the Outstanding Faculty Award and the 2023 MDA Allied Dental Professional Educator Award. Clinically, I’ve remained active as a Registered Dental Hygienist since 1992, blending compassionate patient care with the latest evidence-based practices.
