About Maureen Vazquez

Professional with more than 10 years of experience as a project engineer, GIS, and remote sensing analyst. I currently work for Southwest Gas Corporation as a GIS Specialist. Previously, I worked for the Reno-Sparks Indian Colony as a GIS Specialist as well, where I had a great experience working for a local government and learning about Native American culture. I worked for TGN, a gas pipeline company in Argentina as a Geomatics Analyst. My responsibilities were to maintain and administer the GIS database, create thematic maps, implement GIS mobile apps for field operations, and keep SAP ® database updated. I also planned, executed, supervised, and processed data from photogrammetric drone flights to create Digital Surface Models (DSM) and mosaics. Additionally, I have experience working for the Venezuelan Oil Company (PDVSA) as a Remote Sensing Analyst, where the team led projects related to the analysis and processing of multispectral remote sensing images, also validated and updated the geographic database of the company, generated maps of exploration areas, and also led activities of land surveys and GNSS measurements to support engineering related projects. Also, I have good experience working with software like ArcGIS, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise, GIS mobile apps, ERDAS Imagine, ENVI, Global Mapper, AutoCAD, and Pix4D to name a few.
