About Mauri Gandy
My greatest accomplishment and joy in life is that I am a mother of seven adult children and 12 grand children. In 1987 God gave me the vision of a children's christian magazine. Selling advertisements for my magazine is when I met my husband J. Craig Gandy. He was doing promotions for non-profits in Austin and our love of God and children was contagious. In 1998 I realized that I could take my magazine to an international level with the beginning of the internet. I taught myself HTML and started the first online children's magazine http://just4kidsmagazine.com Today we have over online pages of resources for families and churches to teach children about God and His Son Jesus Christ. In 2009 my husband needed a video for his website so I found out about Channel Austin and became a producer. My new found passion of producing television programs has taken over my life. Today my family has produced over 650 programs that have aired on Channels 10, 11 and 16. As I help other non-profits and businesses in Austin I have met so many wonderful Austinites. My favorite passion is to help women and men realize that the greatest joy in life is children.
