About Mauricio Quezada

As a dedicated biochemist with over 8 years of experience in research and clinical laboratories, I have gained deep expertise in molecular and cellular biology, regenerative medicine, stem cell culture, neurobiology, addiction disorders, microbiology, and bioinformatics. My academic journey began at the Universidad de Concepción, Chile, where I earned my BSc in Biochemistry, and further developed during a research project at the Public Health Institute of Chile, which strengthened my credentials as a professional biochemist. Pursuing an M.Sc. in Sciences and Innovation in Medicine, I explored the therapeutic effects of mesenchymal stem cell-derived secretome on opioid dependence. This work, conducted with an interdisciplinary team, helped advance innovative treatments for addiction. To broaden my expertise, I completed a fellowship at a laboratory in Valencia, Spain, led by Dr. Lucia Hipolito. There, I mastered advanced techniques like microdialysis and No-net-flux coupled with HPLC-FL, boosting my skills in cutting-edge medical research. Throughout my career, I have used strong communication, leadership, and critical thinking skills to solve complex problems in fast-changing environments. I'm passionate about applying my knowledge to drive transformative medical research and development, and I'm dedicated to working with diverse teams to bring new therapies to life.
